Our mental health department provides individual counseling, group therapy, substance/alcohol treatment, child/marital/family therapies, some psychological testing, psychosocial rehabilitation, and Christian counseling, to promote whole-person health. We partner closely with the medical department to provide integrated care, including cases of mental health urgencies for patients who are being seen by medical providers. If you or someone you love is experiencing a mental health crisis, we encourage you to take advantage of the following helplines: National suicide hotline: 1(800) 273-8255 (TALK) or the L A County Access Line 1-800-854-7771. Both lines are open 24/7.
In this episode of LACHC Live, Dr. Lisa Abdishoo and Renee Smith talk about Los Angeles Christian Health Center's street medicine program, which treats our homeless neighbors where they need it most - in the streets.
