Michael Still, MBA Interim CEO & President | For several years at Thanksgiving, my family has made a list of 100 things for which we were thankful. Try it with your own family. As you near 100 on the list, you may find little things to be thankful for that you might often take for granted. One of the things near the top of our list has been quality healthcare. My goal is that LACHC will be near the top of our patients’ lists when they recount the things for which they are thankful. Near the top of my list this year are partners like each of you…those who share our mission to ensure “quality, comprehensive healthcare to the homeless and underserved” is available. We are grateful the gifts of your time, talents, treasures, and prayers. Your gifts have enabled us to provide almost 25,000 visits to over 6,000 patients this past year. We have seen God at work in the lives of our patients as well as in the operation of our clinic. In so many ways, you and other partners have been answers to prayer by your willingness to come alongside us to help those in need. We are grateful for your each of you. Take some time this Thanksgiving weekend to reflect on all you have to be thankful for and to look for specific ways to show that gratitude by helping those in need. It will enrich your weekend! C. Channing Frykman, M.D. Board Chair | A special message from LACHC's Chair of the Board of the Directors A Time for Giving Thanks
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: … He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Eccl. 3:1,11
We celebrate this beautiful season of God’s faithful provision and healing resources at the Los Angeles Christian Health Centers! We want to express our heartfelt thanks to YOU- our LACHC family of staff, volunteers, donors, public agencies and ministry partners. Your valuable investments enable us to provide quality, comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health services to the poorest of the poor in our City of Angels. You are planting the seeds of hope and healing through your life-giving support and prayers!
We are eternally grateful to our federal and corporate funders as well as individual donors that sustain LACHC with their generous gifts. We are also immensely blessed by our volunteers and consultants that impart their valuable expertise, advocacy, and resources. We would like to extend a very special thank you to our exceedingly dedicated, caring team of healthcare professionals, leaders, and staff as well as our beloved patients that make LACHC the most inspiring, rewarding place to work!
Additionally, we are thankful for a smooth leadership transition with the recent resignation of Susan Fuentes. We appreciate her contributions and service as our President & CEO. As we embrace the promising season ahead, we are pleased to announce that Mike Still, our Chief Financial Officer, and Dr. Lisa Abdishoo, our Chief Medical Officer, are covering all executive responsibilities during this transition. Mike Still is serving as our interim Chief Executive Officer.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we celebrate opportunities to expand healthcare access and services to our brothers and sisters in desperate need.
God’s richest blessings upon you,
C. Channing Frykman, M.D. Chair of the Board of Directors |
